Vera Wang LOVE, Exclusively at Zales

There is something satisfying about pulling out your fall wardrobe each year, and this season is the perfect excuse to invest in a few pieces that will actually last. Instead of chasing every trend, focus on staples that mix and match with everything you already own.Start with a great coat. A well made jacket in a neutral color like camel, gray, or black works with nearly every outfit and can carry you from October through the coldest months. Look for quality fabric and a classic cut so it does not feel dated next season.Next, think about footwear. A sturdy pair of boots, whether ankle height or knee high, is one of the hardest working items in a fall closet. They pair easily with jeans, dresses, or leggings, and a good pair can last for several years with proper care.Sweaters are another easy win. A chunky knit, a soft cardigan, or a simple crewneck in a versatile color gives you endless outfit options. Layer them over button downs or under vests for extra warmth without extra bulk.Do not overlook denim. A well fitting pair of jeans in a dark wash feels polished enough for daytime errands and casual dinners alike. Pair with a scarf and your favorite bag, and you have an outfit that works almost anywhere. The stores here are stocked with fresh options this season, so take some time to try on a few different fits and colors before committing. A little patience now pays off later, since well chosen pieces tend to earn their place in your closet for years rather than one season.Investing in a handful of quality staples now means less scrambling and more wearing all season long.

Cooler days call for a wardrobe refresh. Here are the fall essentials that earn their spot in your closet year after year.

Fall Wardrobe Staples Worth Investing In

Halloween Costume Ideas for All AgesHalloween is one of the most fun times of year to get creative, and finding the right costume can make all the difference. Whether you are dressing up a toddler for their first trick or treat or planning a group costume with friends, there are plenty of ideas to make this year memorable. For little ones, classic costumes like animals, superheroes and favorite storybook characters never go out of style. Soft, comfortable fabrics are especially important for younger kids, so look for costumes that are easy to move in and simple to put on over a warm layer for chilly evenings.Kids and tweens often love costumes that let them show off their personality, whether that means a favorite movie character, a fun mash up of two ideas or something a little spooky. Accessories like face paint, wigs and props can take a simple costume to the next level without much extra effort. For teens and adults, group costumes are always a hit. Coordinating with friends or family around a shared theme, like a favorite decade, movie or classic trio, adds an extra layer of fun to the night. Do not underestimate the power of a clever pun costume either, since these tend to be memorable and easy to put together with pieces you may already own.If you are hosting or attending a party, do not forget about the details that pull a costume together, like makeup, accessories and the right footwear for a night of walking and dancing.Whatever direction you choose this year, your local shopping center is a great place to find costumes, accessories and finishing touches for the whole family. Seasonal Coffee Drinks Worth SippingThere is something about cooler weather that makes a warm drink in hand feel just right. As summer iced coffees give way to cozy seasonal flavors, coffee shops everywhere are bringing back beloved favorites and introducing a few new twists to try.Pumpkin spice remains the reigning favorite of the season, and for good reason. The blend of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove mixed into a latte or cold brew captures everything people love about fall in a single cup. Whether served hot or iced, the warming blend of cardamom, ginger and cinnamon pairs perfectly with cooler mornings and makes a great alternative for anyone looking to switch things up from a classic latte. For chocolate lovers, seasonal mochas often get a festive twist with flavors like caramel, brown sugar or even a hint of peppermint as the season moves along. These drinks tend to feel a little more indulgent, making them a nice treat for an afternoon pick me up or a coffee date with a friend.Do not overlook the classics either. A simple cappuccino or cortado topped with a dusting of cinnamon can feel just as seasonal as anything on the specialty menu, especially when enjoyed somewhere cozy. The best way to find your new favorite fall drink is to explore.
